How to watch the Summer Games Fast Speed Marathon 2023
It’s time again to watch skilled players hack their favorite games as fast as they can for a good cause. Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) is back again with a week-long charity running marathon. The event starts at 1pm ET on Sunday, May 28th and ends early on June 4th. You can catch all the action on the Games Done Quick (GDQ) Twitch channel embedded below. The event starts with Sonic Frontiers making their SGDQ debut, and ends with a Super Metroid collaboration song (hopefully the contestants save the animals). There will be many, many contests between them, including six games from The Legend of Zelda. The heavy focus on Zelda probably doesn’t come as a surprise as Tears of the Kingdom has taken the gaming world by storm over the past few weeks.
You can admire a Breath of the Wild beat runner in just a couple of hours, using a bandage and another Elden Conquer ring as quickly as possible without distraction. I’m especially looking forward to the Super Mario Maker 2 message contest. These are always tops at GDQ events. I’m also fascinated by Ring Fit Adventure, Choo-Choo Charles, Hi-Fi Rush, and one of my all-time favorite games, The Curse of Monkey Island. You can check the full schedule on the GDQ website.
SGDQ broadcasts live from Minneapolis with an audience. GDQ events are so much better with live audience interaction with amazing video game contraptions. Organizers hope to raise millions of dollars more for Doctors Without Borders after bringing in more than $3 million during SGDQ 2022. They are aiming to break the GDQ event record set at Awesome Games Done Quick 2022. More than 3.4 million dollars were raised for the cancer prevention foundation.
